In a recent article we talked about the features of APR at 1000-2s, machinery that we presented at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023. In this article we want to discover the technical economic characteristics of this machine and the advantages it can bring both on reducing the environmental impact and on reducing costs. 

Environmental benefits and cost reduction

• Bitumen collection: the APR somebody line has been developed to improve the Centauro range and allows to recycle 100% of the demolished road pavement, preserving the bituminous component and maintaining the inert particle size curve. This makes it possible not only to obtain a high quality product with a considerable economic saving in virgin bitumen but also to significantly reduce the environmental impact by reducing the production of dust and waste. Recycling asphalt is essential to mitigate the environmental effects of road surface production and to promote the circular economy, with the aim of reducing the use of new raw material resulting from extractions and enhancing materials that would otherwise be considered waste and as such treated. Thanks to this innovative feature, the machine is able to completely eliminate CO2e emissions, thus reducing the environmental impact of the recycling process. In addition, the ability to operate in “full-electric” mode allows you to drastically reduce costs for fuel supply, helping to improve the economic efficiency of the asphalt recycling process.

• “0 waste”: Not only thanks to the recycled asphalt removed. Thanks to the use of biodegradable lubricants PANOLIN, the line APR someone. allows to reduce the production of waste resulting from normal maintenance. All the oils and greases used in the hydraulic components are of synthetic origin and biodegradable in order not to constitute environmental impact, as demonstrated by the analyses and the GREENMACHINE certificate of which every single APR somebody is provided with, and reduce the frequency of replacement of the same and the filters installed on the components.
• Reduced wear to minimize costs: “high wear resistance” is one of the technical characteristics that all CAMSAMERICA machines have in common. Thanks to the crushing technique with counter-rotating shafts at low revolutions, in addition to the high quality of the finished product, the minimum wear of the components is guaranteed. To guarantee such resistance allows us to reduce to the minimum the operating costs that weigh on the customer. In addition, our patented system ensures the possibility of replacing the wear parts without the need to disassemble the machine with longer and more expensive interventions.

In summary, APR 1000-2s consists of:
